Savannah Stopover Music Festival

Hey y'all!  This is Peter again and we have another great event that the Printmaker's Inn is excited about that is coming to Savannah next month!  The Savannah Stopover Music Festival is coming to town March 10th-12th.  It presents bands going to the famous SXSW Music Conference a place to play on their way out to Austin, Texas.  

100 bands in all will be playing at 10 different venues throughout the three days here in Savannah.  Headliners include Ra Ra Riot, Blitzen Trapper and Yuck.  The festivities begin at 6PM on Thursday at the Ships of the Sea Museum for a Band Poster Exhibition.  The first concert starts at 6:30PM following the Band Poster Exhibition with a local Savannah band, The Breakers.  At any given time the following couple days there are going to be up to six different bands playing around town at the same time.  Most of the activity is down by Congress St and should be a blast to bop around downtown checking out all the live music.   

There will also be cool special events, which include "Stopover at the Yard" @ The Grey and Secret Shows throughout the week at the Printmaker's Inn favorite pub, Abe's on Lincoln.

Secret Shows will be happening all week at Abe's on Lincoln and there will be push notices by @savstopover so make sure you follow them to get news of who is playing!  We can't think of anything much better than watching up and coming bands at an awesome "old school" pub like Abe's.

Stopover in the Yard is a collaborative effort between Savannah Stopover and The Grey, a great new restaurant in Savannah.  They will combine, food, music and drinks in The Yard at The Grey, which is a fantastic outdoor area next to the restaurant.  There will be grilled meats, seafood and vegetable dishes for those that wish to eat while enjoying the live music.  All Stopover pass holders gain entry with the option to purchase food.  Food will be available from 12pm-3pm with the music starting at 1pm.  It is first come-first served so if you are interested make sure you get there early!

Tickets range from $25 for opening night tickets to VIP 3 Day passes for $125.  You can purchase tickets online at savannahstopover.com
