Picnic in the Park: A Fall Tradition in Savannah

The Picnic in the Park is a beloved fall tradition in Savannah taking full advantage of the fantastic setting in our beloved Forsyth Park. It is honestly one of our favorite events of the year and season. The weather has finally cooled down a bit and you can really enjoy what makes the park and Savannah sing. Coinciding with the SCAD Film Festival, it adds a festive atmosphere to the city.

This community event is free and open to the public. It offers live music brought to you by the renowned Savannah Philharmonic, food trucks, and a family-friendly environment. Locals love to out do each other by creating some pretty fantastic upscale picnic set ups. One of our favorites from the past was a tent adorned with chandeliers and their hosts serving oysters and champagne to guests! Walking around exploring all the action is a part of the whole experience.

So, pack your picnic basket and join the locals for a memorable night in the park.
